Why Sega Channel Failed…

In about 1994, Sega Channel debuted in my area and my best friend’s mom subscribed to it for him.

I was amazed at how many games you had access to (about 50), including games that never got a US release, like Golden Axe III.

There was only one downside…
If you discovered a great game on the 28th of the month, then it may not still be on Sega Channel a couple days later.

Such was the case with Shadowrun. We played that game for the better part of 3 days and then poof… it was gone.

That feeling sucked.
